About the Founder

When a high school football injury ended the NFL dreams of David Leepson, he was determined to find another way to make a career for himself in the sports world.  So out of college, he landed a job at HBO Sports taking lunch orders…until his bosses realized he had a knack for getting the world’s biggest, toughest athletes to open up on camera about their most personal stories.  After producing on HBO’s “Inside The NFL,” “World Championship Boxing”, “Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel,” and multiple Emmy award winning documentaries, David moved over to Fox Sports, co-creating and executive producing titles such as “Sports Science”, “Baseball’s Golden Age”, among other high-profile projects.

Throughout this time, Leepson realized that what he really loved was simply telling stories, whether they be about sports or anything else. So he never stopped in that endeavor, getting experience in various facets of the entertainment industry. Leepson spent time as a day-to-day showrunner, a senior network executive, and chief creative officer for independent production companies, until ultimately deciding to start his own. Under David’s leadership, Leepson Bounds Entertainment (LBE) has broken into and created successful series franchises in practically every genre in non-scripted television, garnered 5 Emmy Awards (with 19 nominations), and 3 Telly Awards.
